Confidence is an all-encompassing dynamic. When there is a lot of it, that is, when one is able to trust their knowledge, skills, and understanding, great things can be achieved. However, when there is zero to little confidence, self-doubt, fear of failure, and concern for the opinion of others eventuate.
So, just like any flora and fauna, growth occurs in the presence of the right resources. These might be light, nutritious soil and water. Confidence is no different. When one engages in quality personal and professional development and is surrounded by open-minded, positive, supportive people who respectfully challenge them, the growth of confidence emanates.
I invite you to think about what confidence looks like for you. Is it enforced, or arrogant or is it filled with compassion, encouragement, and support of self and others?
